General information about the Djibouti e-visa
When travelling to Djibouti, you need to apply for an e-visa in advance. The purpose may be tourism, business or visiting family/friends. If you transit through Djibouti and wish to leave the airport, you also need a visa.
Once the visa is ready, we send it to you by email. You need to print the visa and bring it with you on your trip.
The e-visa is valid for one entry and up to 90 days from the specified entry date. You may enter at any time within the validity period, but may not stay longer than the date stated on the visa.
In some cases you do not need to apply for a visa, for example if you hold a diplomatic or service passport. If you intend to work or study in Djibouti, you need the visa stamped in your passport. Contact us for more information.
If you need to stay longer than the visa's validity period, you must apply for an extension from the local police in Djibouti.
