Important

Yellow fever certificate is mandatory

For Ghana a yellow fever certificate is required for all travelers. It is one of few countries where this is mandatory regardless of where you come from. The certificate must be valid at least 10 days before entry. We always remind about this.

Translation, timing and embassy

Is English translation needed?

For the visa application, translation of Swedish documents is normally not required. The application form is filled in English. The invitation should be in English. If you have Swedish documents to be used in Ghana after entry (e.g. for work), authorized translation may be needed separately.
