FAQ about Kuwait legalisation

Does Kuwait accept an apostille?
Not in practice. Kuwait is outside the Hague Convention. Recipients in Kuwait City require embassy legalisation via MFA and the Kuwait Embassy.
How should the steps be ordered?
Private documents are notarised first, then MFA and embassy. Arabic translation can run before or in parallel depending on the recipient requirement.
What about the embassy fee?
It varies by document according to the embassy tariff. We specify the amount before filing so you are not surprised.
Is an English translation enough?
Sometimes with international companies. Kuwaiti authorities more often want Arabic. We offer authorized Swedish to Arabic translation from SEK 1,495.
How long does it take?
Basic usually takes 8 to 15 business days depending on MFA and the embassy queue. Priority and VIP shorten our coordination where possible.
Can you order Swedish extracts for me?
Yes. We often help obtain personal records, criminal record certificates and company extracts before legalisation.
Can companies use this service?
Yes. We legalise company extracts, powers of attorney, agreements, invoices and other trade documents for Kuwait.
What is included from SEK 2,495?
Our handling of the embassy legalisation chain in Basic, Priority or VIP. Notarisation, translation and the embassy own tariff are added when needed and specified in advance.
