General information about Saudi Arabia visa
Swedish citizens need a visa to enter Saudi Arabia and it must be obtained before departure. This applies to both tourist and business travel.
The e-visa for Saudi Arabia is valid for one year, allows multiple entries and up to 90 days per entry. It can be used for tourism and Umrah (not during Hajj) but not for studies.
There are also business visas, work visas and temporary work permits. These typically require an invitation/reference number, attested employment contracts and supplementary certificates.

How does the e-visa for Saudi Arabia work?

The e-visa cannot be used for studies or work.
What documents are required for an e-visa?
You need a completed application form, passport copy (ID page), visa photo and a preliminary hotel and flight booking. The passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the entry date.
What are the requirements for a business visa?
A business visa is normally valid for 180 days and allows multiple entries of up to 30 days per entry. Common requirements include an application form, passport, visa photo and an invitation or reference number.
A guarantee letter and company registration certificates for both the Swedish and Saudi company are often also required.
What is required for a work visa?
A work visa requires an application form, passport, visa photo and a reference number issued by the Saudi authorities. You also need an employment contract and employer certificate that are attested by the Chamber of Commerce and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
A QVP process, criminal record extract and medical certificates are often also required.
What is a temporary work permit?
A temporary work permit is valid for up to 6 months. The requirements are similar to a work visa and include an application form, passport, visa photo, reference number, an attested employment contract and employer certificates.
Apostilled degree certificates and medical certificates may also be required in some cases.
Can family members accompany me on a business visa?
Yes, family members (spouse and children) can often apply for an escort visa in connection with a business visa.
