From 2025, Swedish citizens need ETA (Electronic Travel Authorisation) to travel to the UK. ETA is an electronic travel authorization that replaced the previous visa-free arrangement. Translation, timing and embassy

Is English translation needed?

For ETA or the visa application, translation of Swedish documents is normally not required. The application is filled in English. The invitation or admission letter should be in English. If you have Swedish documents to be used in the UK after entry (e.g. for work or studies), authorized translation may be needed separately.
