Correct path

E-visa or embassy visa?

E-visa is enough for tourism and shorter business trips up to 90 days. It is simple, cheap and handled entirely online. For longer stays, work or specific purposes, an embassy visa is required. E-visas cannot be extended in Vietnam.

Overview

How it works for Vietnam

Swedish citizens always need a visa to travel to Vietnam. The e-visa is the simplest option for tourism and shorter business trips. It is valid for up to 90 days and can be single or multiple entry. The e-visa is handled entirely online and delivered by email. For longer stays, work or specific purposes, an embassy visa is required. Vietnamese authorities are strict about photo format (4 × 6 cm, white background) and passport validity (at least 6 months). VIZA reviews everything before submission to minimise the risk of refusal.
