FAQ: Swedish to Chinese

What is an authorized translation?
An authorized translation is produced by a translator approved by Kammarkollegiet and stamped and signed. It is accepted by authorities, universities and courts. Ordinary translations are often not enough for Chinese recipients.
What does Swedish to Chinese authorized translation cost?
For a standard document (e.g. personal record, diploma or power of attorney) prices start at SEK 1,495 (Basic). Priority and VIP are faster. Longer or more complex documents are priced by scope. Contact us to confirm.
How long does the translation take?
Basic: up to 10 business days. Priority: about 3 to 5 business days. VIP: about 1 to 2 business days. Exact timing depends on document length and complexity.
Does the translation also need legalisation?
Yes, almost always for China. Chinese recipients require full legalisation via the MFA and the Chinese Embassy in addition to the translation. We can run both as a package. See Documents for China.
Do you translate into Simplified or Traditional Chinese?
We translate into Simplified Chinese (jiǎntǐzì) which is the standard on the mainland. Traditional Chinese is used in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, contact us if you need that.
Do I get the original document back?
Yes. If you sent the original, it is returned with the translation. You also receive a digital copy by email.
