Authorised translator

For a translation to be accepted by authorities abroad, it must as a rule be performed by an authorised translator. The original document must be written in Swedish and is then translated into the language required by the receiving country. The price varies depending on language, document type and length — contact us with details about your document and we will provide a quote.

Frequently asked questions about document translation

What is an authorised translator?
An authorised translator is a linguist who has passed an examination at the Swedish Legal, Financial and Administrative Services Agency (Kammarkollegiet) and been granted authorisation to produce certified translations. These translations are accepted by authorities and organisations both in Sweden and abroad.
Do I need to legalise my translated document?
In most cases the translated document also needs to be legalised with an apostille or via the Ministry for Foreign Affairs. We can assist you with the entire process, from translation to legalisation.
How long does a translation take?
Most standard documents can be translated within 2–5 working days. Delivery time depends on the language, the length and complexity of the document. Contact us for an estimate based on your specific document.
Can you translate into languages not listed above?
Yes, we have a broad network of authorised translators and can usually arrange translation into languages not listed above. Contact us with details about the language and document type.
