When do you need embassy legalisation for Kenya?

When CRS, CUE, KRA, BRS or Ardhisasa requires an embassy stamp. Apostille does not certify authenticity for Kenya. eTA is not the step.

FAQ | legalisation for Kenya

Is apostille enough for Kenya?
No. Kenya is not in the Hague Convention. The documents need MFA and the Kenyan Embassy at Birger Jarlsgatan 37.
Must the document be translated first?
MFA does not require Swahili for the stamp. Kenyan recipients often still want authorized Swahili, not Kikuyu. We can combine both in a package.
What does legalisation for Kenya cost?
Basic SEK 2,495, Priority SEK 2,950, VIP SEK 3,750 per document in our fee. The embassy’s own tariff may be added.
