How it works for Armenia

Armenian authorities think in CSARA under the Ministry of Justice: birth and marriage certificates against the Civil Status Acts Registration Agency, the identity card against Nork, SRC and a TIN for tax, MoESCS and ARMENIC for degrees, the Cadastre Committee for property, the State Register of Legal Entities for companies. Forms are in Eastern Armenian in Armenian script; Russian, Azerbaijani and Georgian rarely suffice on originals. We apostille Swedish originals via Notarius Publicus and translate with Kammarkollegiet-authorized Armenian. A document issued in Armenia is apostilled there via the Ministry of Justice (e-apostille since 2021). This is the document chain, not an e-visa.

How a Swedish original reaches Armenia

1 Find out who the recipient is

CSARA, the Cadastre Committee, SRC or ARMENIC sends a checklist. The embassy at Sveavägen 76 is rarely on it. An e-visa is not on that list.
2 Order the right Swedish original

Skatteverket, a court or a school issues the document. Copies rarely suffice for ARMENIC or a purchase toward the Cadastre Committee.
3 Translate into Armenian if needed

CSARA and most ARMENIC files want authorized Armenian in Armenian script. Kammarkollegiet.
4 Notarise a liazoragir before apostille

If a notary in Yerevan or Gyumri is to act for you, the power of attorney must be attested by Notarius Publicus in Sweden first.
5 Apostille and tracked return

Notarius Publicus adds the apostille. You get the original (and the translation) back, ready for filing in Armenia.

Armenia has been in the Hague Convention since 1994. Apostille via Notarius Publicus replaces MFA and the embassy at Sveavägen 76. Apostille for Armenia starts from SEK 1,595 in Basic.

Why Armenian is usually needed

CSARA and ARMENIC rarely accept unprocessed Swedish. Authorized Armenian from a Kammarkollegiet translator is its own step, not Russian. From SEK 1,495 for a standard document. Translation plus apostille from SEK 1,895.

Apostille usually takes a few business days. Add time for Armenian and any notarisation. The total depends on:

Can the embassy at Sveavägen 76 apostille for me?

No. Armenia takes apostille via Notarius Publicus in Sweden. Sveavägen 76 handles passports and consular work. That is not Rwanda at Sveavägen 159.

Do I need Russian or Azerbaijani instead of Armenian?

No. Russian, Azerbaijani and Armenian are separate Kammarkollegiet authorizations. CSARA and ARMENIC want Armenian in Armenian script, not Georgian.

Is an e-visa enough as a document stamp?

No. An e-visa is entry. CSARA, the Cadastre Committee and SRC want apostille on the document. We do not sell an Armenian visa here.
