Correct path

The right path for Belarus

ZAGS, UNP and cadastre in Minsk, Homiel or Hrodna want proof the Swedish original is genuine. Apostille is issued by Notarius Publicus in Sweden. Forms are in Belarusian. The embassy in Stockholm handles passports and consular work, not apostille.

Overview

How it works for Belarus

Belarusian authorities think in ZAGS and the justice system: birth and marriage certificates against ZAGS, the passport against the interior ministry, UNP toward the Ministry of Taxes for tax, the Ministry of Education and ENIC for degrees, the National Cadastral Agency for property, the Unified State Register for companies. Forms are in Belarusian or Russian in Cyrillic; Ukrainian and Polish rarely suffice on originals. The Kammarkollegiet language is Belarusian. We apostille Swedish originals via Notarius Publicus (apostille before translation, per Sweden Abroad) and translate with authorized Belarusian. A document issued in Belarus is apostilled there via MFA, justice departments or the Ministry of Education. This is the document chain, not a visa.

When needed

When do Belarusian recipients want apostille?

The contact usually comes from ZAGS, UNP, cadastre, ENIC or a notary – not from the embassy at Vikdalsgränd 10A:

  • Birth or marriage certificate must enter ZAGS after a move to Minsk
  • UNP papers toward the Ministry of Taxes
  • Recognition of a Swedish degree via ENIC, not a loose copy
  • Flat purchase – extracts for cadastre in Homiel or Hrodna
  • Company papers for the Unified State Register in Minsk
  • Daveranasts for an agent before a notary in Minsk

How a Swedish original reaches Belarus

The usual chain from review to return. Collapse a step if you want less.

  1. 1 Find out who the recipient is

ZAGS, UNP, cadastre or ENIC sends a checklist. The embassy at Vikdalsgränd 10A is rarely on it. A visa is not on that list.

  2. 2 Order the right Swedish original

Skatteverket, a court or a school issues the document. Copies rarely suffice for ENIC or a purchase toward cadastre.

  3. 3 Translate into Belarusian if needed

ZAGS and most ENIC files want authorized Belarusian. Kammarkollegiet. Apostille the original first.

  4. 4 Notarise a daveranasts before apostille

If a notary in Minsk or Hrodna is to act for you, the power of attorney must be attested by Notarius Publicus in Sweden first.

  5. 5 Apostille and tracked return

Notarius Publicus adds the apostille. You get the original (and the translation) back, ready for filing in Belarus.

Why Belarusian is usually needed

ZAGS and ENIC rarely accept unprocessed Swedish. Authorized Belarusian from a Kammarkollegiet translator is its own step, not Russian. From SEK 1,495 for a standard document. Translation plus apostille from SEK 1,895.

Timeline for ZAGS, cadastre or ENIC

Apostille usually takes a few business days. Add time for Belarusian and any notarisation. The total depends on:

  • whether the daveranasts must be notarised first
  • whether authorized Belarusian must run in parallel
  • processing at Notarius Publicus
  • the ENIC queue toward the Ministry of Education
Belarusian Embassy vs apostille

The embassy at Vikdalsgränd 10A in Nacka handles passports and consular work. Apostille for ZAGS is done by Notarius Publicus in Sweden. Not Kungsbroplan 2. A visa is a different product.

  • Authorized Belarusian translation
  • Notarius Publicus for Swedish public documents

FAQ

Can the embassy at Vikdalsgränd 10A apostille for me?
No. Belarus takes apostille via Notarius Publicus in Sweden. Vikdalsgränd 10A in Nacka handles passports and consular work. That is not Belgium at Kungsbroplan 2.
Do I need Russian instead of Belarusian?
Sometimes the recipient takes Russian. The Kammarkollegiet language for Belarus is Belarusian. Ask us if the checklist says Russian.
Is a visa enough as a document stamp?
No. A visa is entry. ZAGS, UNP and cadastre want apostille on the document. We do not sell a Belarusian visa here.
