FAQ | legalisation for Ethiopia

Is apostille enough for Ethiopia?
No. Ethiopia is not in the Hague Convention. The documents need MFA and the Ethiopian Embassy at Brovägen 5 in Stocksund.
Must the document be translated first?
MFA does not require Amharic for the stamp. Ethiopian recipients in Addis Ababa often still want authorized Amharic, not Tigrinya. We can combine both in a package.
What does legalisation for Ethiopia cost?
Basic SEK 2,495, Priority SEK 2,950, VIP SEK 3,750 per document in our fee. The embassy’s own tariff may be added.
