When do you need embassy legalisation for Iraq?

When civil status, tapu, higher education or the Registrar of Companies requires an embassy stamp. Apostille does not certify authenticity for Iraq. An e-visa is not the step.

FAQ | legalisation for Iraq

Is apostille enough for Iraq?
No. Iraq is not in the Hague Convention. The documents need MFA and the Iraqi Embassy at Baldersgatan 6A-B.
Must the document be translated first?
MFA does not require Kurdish for the stamp. Iraqi recipients in Erbil often still want authorized Kurdish, not Arabic. We can combine both in a package.
What does legalisation for Iraq cost?
Basic SEK 2,495, Priority SEK 2,950, VIP SEK 3,750 per document in our fee. The embassy’s own tariff may be added. We confirm the stamp before we bill the step.
