Overview
How it works for Nepal
Nepali authorities think in DoNIDCR: birth and marriage certificates against the Department of National ID and Civil Registration, the national identity card on the same track, PAN via IRD, UGC for foreign degrees, Malpot (Land Revenue Office) for land, the Office of Company Registrar for companies. Forms are in Nepali in Devanagari; Hindi is a different Kammarkollegiet authorization even though the script looks similar. We run notarisation when needed, MFA and the Embassy of Nepal in Copenhagen, and translate with Kammarkollegiet-authorized Nepali. A document issued in Nepal is legalised there – via the Department of Consular Services at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kathmandu. This is the document chain, not visa on arrival and not the honorary consulate visa queue.
