FAQ | apostille for Poland

Is an apostille enough for Polish USC and courts?
In most cases yes. Poland is in the Hague Convention, so an apostille replaces embassy legalisation. Some USC offices or courts also want an authorized Polish translation. We handle that in the same case.
Should translation come before or after the apostille?
Usually we translate first (or in parallel) and then apostille the original or the translation the recipient wants stamped. We follow what the Polish recipient asks for.
What do I send in?
The original document plus a copy of your passport ID page. Powers of attorney and other private documents often need notarisation before apostille.
How long does it take?
Basic: typically a few business days. Priority and VIP move faster when Notarius Publicus has capacity.
