Why an apostille for Qatar usually fails

Qatar sits outside the Hague Convention. A Swedish apostille does not replace MFA plus the Qatar Embassy. Sponsors, MOI, QFC and universities in Doha often reject apostille stamped originals. Arabic or English for Qatar?

QFC and several international campuses in Doha often accept English. MOI, residency and many authority cases want Arabic. The embassy in Stockholm does not always require translation to stamp, but the recipient in Qatar still might. Does an apostille work in Doha?

No in practice. Qatar is outside the Hague Convention. Sponsors, MOI and universities want MFA plus the Qatar Embassy, often followed by MOFA in Qatar.
