When do you need embassy legalisation for Vietnam?

When UBND, phòng tư pháp, a university or a bank requires an embassy stamp before 11 September 2026. Apostille does not certify authenticity for Vietnam until the convention enters into force.

FAQ | legalisation for Vietnam

Is apostille enough for Vietnam?

Not before 11 September 2026. The documents need MFA and Vietnam’s embassy in Sweden. From that date we switch to apostille for Swedish public documents. That is not an e-visa.

Must the document be translated first?

MFA does not require Vietnamese for the stamp. UBND often still wants authorized Vietnamese. We can combine both in a package.

What does legalisation for Vietnam cost?

Basic SEK 2,495, Priority SEK 2,950, VIP SEK 3,750 per document in our fee. The embassy’s own tariff may be added. After 11 September 2026 the apostille price of SEK 850 applies to Swedish public documents.
